Two-time Olympic medalist and seven-time Women’s National Basketball Association All-Star Brittney Griner spoke in court in Russia during closing arguments of her trial. Griner pleaded guilty to drug charges last month in what her lawyers say was an attempt to take responsibility and receive leniency if she is ultimately convicted and sentenced.
